Fiorentina arrive in Malta for training camp

Italian Serie A side Fiorentina arrived in Malta early on Sunday morning to conduct a training camp as they take advantage of the winter break to step up their preparations for the second part of the season.

Led by coach Stefano Pioli, Fiorentina came to Malta with their full squad, including their latest signing – Colombian forward Luis Muriel who joined the club on loan from Sevilla.

On Wednesday, the Viola will feature in the Visit Malta Tournament along BOV Premier League sides Hibernians and Gżira United at the National Stadium.

The Viola will train at the Malta FA training facilities in Ta’ Qali during their five-day stay. The first session was held on Sunday afternoon.

The training camp is being organised by Austrian-based sports company SLFC who have appointed MFA SportsPlus Limited to co-ordinate the logistical aspects.

For the Visit Malta Tournament on Wednesday, 2018-19 season passes for club members and the general public are not valid.
