Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner on Tuesday.

Terence Agius (Birkirkara), Daren Falzon (Tarxien), Ishaya Irimiya Jalo (Pieta), Kevaughn Atkinson (St. Andrews), Nii Nortey Ashong (Sliema), Steve Borg (Valletta) are therefore ruled out of the weekend’s matches.

Steve Borg skips the clash with Hibernians, Agius and Jalo are ruled out of Birkirkara vs Pieta, Falzon and Atkinson will be unavailable for Tarxien vs St. Andrews and Nortey the clash with Floriana.

Maxim Focsa (Pembroke) was handed a six-match ban in Division 1 while Chris Vella (Mqabba), Christian Caruana (Qrendi), Andrea Curmi and Hubert Vella (Zebbug), Ryabn Zammit (San Gwann), Leon Muscat and Leejoe Schembri (Lija) were suspended for one match.

Jeremiah Ani (Luqa) was handed a two-match ban in Division 2 while Nathanael Falzon and Christian Gafa (Luqa), Joseph Paul Zammit (Mgarr) and Agatino Sicali (Sta. Venera) were suspended for one match.
