Joint-leaders Xghajra Tornados and Zurrieq keep marching on in the BOV Third Division as both registered wins at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Goals by Terence Scerri on the 2nd minute and Claudio Calleja on the 84th handed Zurrieq a 2-0 win over Ghaxaq.

On the other hand, Xghajra beat Gharghur 4-0 courtesy of Royter Degiorgio on the 19th, 43rd and 80th and Gabriel Bonavia on the 34th.

Zurrieq and Xghajra lead the way with 32 points, followed by Msida on 22, Attard 20, Dingli 19, Kirkop 17, Mdina 16, Ghaxaq 15, Ta’ Xbiex 11, Gharghur 9, Marsaskala 3 and Mtarfa 0.
