Dingli Swallows and Msida St. Joseph both registered comfortable 5-0 wins as they defeated Mtarfa and Marsaskala respectively in matches from the BOV Third Division on Sunday.

Dingli had to wait until the 42nd minute to forge ahead as Mark Vassallo put them ahead. Dylan Mercieca doubled the score on the 66th and Daniel Cilia made it 3-0 on the 77th. Tyrone Pace increased the lead four minutes from time and deep into stoppage time, Chris Schembri converted a penalty.

On the other hand, Msida took the lead thanks to Matthew Borg on the 36th and Joseph Chetcuti doubled the score two mintues later. Lian Xuereb scored a third just before half-time. Seven minutes from time, Matthew Borg scored another with Fabio Muscat making it 5-0 in added time.

Zurrieq and Xghajra lead the way with 32 points, followed by Msida on 25, Attard on 23, Dingli 22, Kirkop and Mdina 17, Ghaxaq 15, Ta’ Xbiex 12, Gharghur 9, Marsaskala 3 and Mtarfa 0.
