Valletta, Luxol set for major clash

Valletta extended their winning streak as they defeated Birkirkara 5-1 at the Corradino Sport Pavilion.

International youngster Andrè Ciancio made his debut for Valletta following his January switch from Swieqi United in January.

The Lillywhites found the net through a Camilo Andre Vanegas Gomez hat-trick and a goal apiece for Jovica Milijic and Gia Nikvashvilli. Glenn Bonello scored the Stripes’ only goal.

Luxol St. Andrews registered another win in the Elite Round, beating Swieqi United 8-3. Celino Alves and Giancarlo Sammut scored two goals each while Matthew Attard, Maicon Silva, Zvezdan Vukovic and captain Mark Zammit scored one.

Shawn Deguara, who joined the club from Valletta, scored for Swieqi along with Leonardo De Souza and Leo Muscat.

Tarxien Rainbows also claimed the three points after beating University of Malta Students Futsal Team 7-4.

In the First Division, Luxol U19 moved three points ahead of UM Futsal Academy after beating them 7-1. Pietà Hotspurs consolidated their leadership in the First Division when they beated Swieqi United U21 with the end result of 7-2.
