Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza scored four as Pembroke Athleta registered a comfortable 6-1 win over Marsa in one of the two matches from the BOV First Division at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.

Mifsud Triganza scored twice, on the 8th (penalty) and the 24th to put them two goals ahead and although Asahi Watanabe pulled one back for Marsa on the 40th, Mifsud Triganza scored another two goals on the 58th (penalty) and the 67th, before Wilmsen Moacir da Rosa and Eduardo Vallecillo Casado extended the lead further on the 81st and 83rd respectively.

Meanwhile in another match, a goal by Firas Aboulezz on the 27th minute gave Gudja United a narrow win over Swieqi United.

Sirens lead the way with 42 points, followed by Gudja on 35, Santa Lucia 30, Naxxar 26, Lija 25, Pembroke, Zejtun and Swieq 23, Vittoriosa 19, Zebbug 18, Qrendi 17, Mqabba and San Gwann 16 and Marsa 5.
