Xghajra Tornados and Zurrieq keep marching on in the BOV Third Division as they both registered wins in two of the four matches in programme on Sunday.

Goals by Claudio Calleja on the 40th, Jason Camilleri on the 64th and Nathan Zammit on the 90th gave Zurrieq a 3-0 win over Gharghur at the Sirens Stadium while at the Luxol Stadium, Xghajra Tornados beat Ta’ Xbiex 2-0, courtesy of Adrian Pulis on the 33rd and Royter Degiorgio on the 85th.

Msida St. Joseph move back in third place thanks to a 2-1 win over Ghaxaq at the Luxol Stadium. Joseph Chetcuti gave Msida the lead after just five minutes but although Rio Micallef equalised on the 39th, Lian Xuereb notched the winner on the 68th.

A goal by Stefi Cale five minutes in the second half handed Mdina Knights a narrow win over Kirkop United at the Sirens Stadium.

Zurrieq and Xghajra lead the way with 45 points, followed by Msida on 34,
