Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino (Hibernians), Ricardo Martin (St. Andrews) and Jacson da Paixão Neponuceno (Tarxien) are therefore ruled out of this week’s matches.

Taylon Correa skips the clash with Sliema, Jacson da Paixao is ruled out of the game against Qormi while Martin misses the game against Senglea.

In Division 1, Liam Ciantar (Marsa) and Panagiotis Papadakis (Vittoriosa) were handed a three-match ban while Lamin Suma (Mqabba), Ryan Previ (Siens), Melvin Farrugia and Marc Attard (Swieqi), Noah Olawole Ojuola (Vittoriosa) and Diego Albanese (Zejtun) were suspended for one match. Lija staff member Larken Micallef was banned for three matches while Marsa staff member Alex Sammut and official Joseph Xuereb were suspended for two matches.

Giovanni Galea (Fgura), Alan Tabone (Marsaxlokk), Dylan Falzon (Rabat) and Jordie Delia (Sta. Venera) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2. Birzebbuga staff member Christopher Mangion was banned for two matches.

In Division 3, Etienne Farrugia (Dingli), Johann Zarb (Gharghur), Emanuel Cutajar and Rio Micallef (Ghaxaq), Elton Caruana and Hayes Farrugia (Marsaskala), Joseph Chetcuti and Matthew Borg (Msida), Glenn Brincat (Xghajra) and Nathan Zammit (Zurrieq) were all suspended for one match.
