Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the mid-week matches.

Birkirkara’s Terence Agius was banned for three matches while Ivan Bozovic and Aleksandar Kosoric (Balzan), Edison Bilbao Zarate (Gzira), Nemanja Radojevic and Jake Grech (Hibs), Ishaya Irimiya Jalo, Paul Chimezie and Uchenna Calistus Umeh (Pieta) and Juan Cruz Gill (Tarxien) were banned for one match.

Terence Agius is therefore ruled out of Birkirkara’s next three matches against Sliema, Hibernians and Mosta. Balzan could not count on Bozovic and Kosoric for the game against St. Andrews. For the game against Gzira, Pieta will be without Jalo, Chimezie and Umeh with Bilbao Zarate ruled out for the Maroons. Hibernians will be lacking Radojevic and Grech for the clash with Mosta. Gill is ruled out of Tarxien’s next game against Senglea.

Floriana president Riccardo Gaucci was banned for one match.

Meanwhile in Division 2, Liam Grech (Melita) and St. George’s team manager Keith Darmanin were banned for one match.
