Valletta reach Futsal Knock-Out final

Valletta booked a place in the final of the Futsal Knock-Out after beating Birkirkara 5-3.

The Citizens went two goals ahead by the 10th minute thanks to Rafael Medeiros Rodrigues and Shawn Vella. Birkirkara’s Faisal Alnakuoo reduced the gap just 13 seconds from the end of the first half. Valletta added another one thanks to Dylan Musu but goals by Alan Galea and Gary Inguanez levelled matters. However Valletta regained control in the final minutes, scoring twice through Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomez and Melvin Borg.

Meanwhile earlier this week, Valletta defeated Swieqi United 3-1. Valletta’s Mohamed Lamari managed to score twice with Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomes scorign the other. Shaun Deguara replied for Swieqi United.

Luxol, on the other hand, defeated Tarxien Rainbows 6-1. Jose Maria Aguilera put the Rainbows ahead but a Maicon Silva Gaiewski hat-trick, a brace by Zvezdan Vukovic and a goal by Leanderson Coriolando Sant’Anna handed Luxol the three points.

The University of Malta Students lost 7-3 to Birkirkara. Everton Da Silva Santos, Faisal Alnakuoo and Victor Castro Pedrosa scored two each with Rennie Tanti adding another. Aidan Caruana, Ivan Jovanović and Lee Grech scored for the Universitarians.

In the First Division, Swieqi United U21 defeated Pietá Hotspurs 8-4.
