Xewkija Tigers claimed the First Division Knock-Out in Gozo after defeating Nadur Youngsters 4-3 in the final at the Gozo Stadium on Sunday.

Jefferson de Assis put Nadur ahead on the 14th minute but Michael Camilleri equalised six minutes from the end of the first half. Nadur regained the lead on 58 minutes but once again Michael Camilleri levelled matters on the 72nd.

Nine minutes from time, Halleson Tiago Barbosa Honorato put Xewkija ahead for the first time but on the 90th minute, Jefferson de Assis restored equilibrium. However the game was not over yet as three minutes in added time, Halleson Tiago Barbosa Honorato made it 4-3 for Xewkija.

Meanwhile St. Lawrence Spurs and Sannat Lions will be contesting the Second Division Knock-Out final on Tuesday after they emerged as winners in last Tuesday’s semi-finals.

St Lawrence Spurs defeated Zebbug Rovers 2-0, courtesy of Christopher Cauchi on the 26th and Charlon Farrugia five minutes from time.

On the other hand, Sannat Lions registered an impressive 4-0 win over Xaghra United. Brandon Said put Sannat ahead on the 13th and just before half-time, Ebube Ralph Okpokwu doubled the score. Brandon Said added another on the 77th with Joseph Zammit sealing the issue with a fourth goal five minutes from time.
