Former Italy midfielder Manuele Blasi is the new coach of Hamrun Spartans after agreeing a two-year deal with the club. He replaces Giovanni Tedesco who quit the club earlier this month to join Gzira United.
A product of Roma, Blasi played for various clubs including Lecce, Perugia, Juventus, Parma, Fiorentina, Napoli, Palermo, Pescara and Varese before ending his career at Chennaiyin FC in India. He also had short spells at Ischia Isolaverde and Compagnia Portuale (ASD CPC 2005).
The 38-year old’s coaching career is still in its early days, having only acted as coach of amateur side CPC 2005 during season 2017/18.
Manuele Blasi will be assisted by Fabrizio Antonini.
