Mosta come from behind to beat Sirens 2-1

Mosta came back from a goal down to beat Sirens 2-1 at the National Stadium on Saturday to move fourth in the BOV Premier League table, two points behind Birkirkara and two ahead of Hibernians.

Sirens, on the other hand, were disappointed to leave Ta’ Qali empty handed following a good performance which however failed to yield any points.

The St. Paul’s Bay side took the lead on the 26th minute thanks to Kei Sano whose fine shot from the right saw the ball hit the upright before ending at the back of the net.

However, just before the end of the first half, Mosta levelled matters through Jacob Akrong who hit home off a Christ Ememe corner from the left.

Nine minutes in the second half, the Blues made it 2-1 when off an assist Christ Ememe substitute Michael Chidera Okoh had his first attempts blocked by the goalkeeper and by the upright before hitting.
