BOV Division 1: Msida St. Joseph condemn Zejtun Corinthians to Division 2

bov-first-division-2013-2014Zejtun Corinthians will be playing in Division 2 next season as they lost to Gzira United and Msida St. Joseph earned the point they needed from the clash with Lija Athletic.

In the first match, Msida St. Joseph held Lija Athletic in a 2-2 draw. Ariel Laudisi put the Saints ahead but a brace by Beppe Antignolo turned the score in Lija’s favour. However Stephane Banzio levelled matters for Msida.

In another match, Gzira defeated Zejtun 5-0 thanks to a brace by Moises Avila Perez and goals by Yanis Tonna, Martin Kotyza and Shawn Bonello.

BOV Division 1: Pietà Hotspurs crowned champions

bov-first-division-2013-2014Pietà Hotspurs were crowned BOV First Division champions as they beat Zurrieq 1-0 while second-placed Zebbug Rangers lost 1-2 to St. Andrews.

For Zebbug, this was the third defeat in four matches but they still enjoy a comfortable nine-point lead over Melita who were held in a 1-1 draw by Birzebbuga St. Peter’s. Zebbug therefore need one point from the last two matches to secure promotion.

bov-first-division-2013-2014Hamrun Spartans will be playing in Division 2 next season as Msida St. Joseph moved a step closer towards securing their BOV First Division status thanks to a 2-0 win over St. George’s. A win which puts the Saints nine points ahead of Zejtun Corinthians and thirteen ahead of Hamrun.

BOV Division 1: Zebbug Rangers move closer to promotion

bov-first-division-2013-2014Zebbug Rangers bounced back from two consecutive defeats with a 4-1 win over Zejtun Corinthians in a match from the BOV First Division to move closer to securing promotion to the Premier League.

Melita joined Lija Athletic in third place after beating Zurrieq 1-0.

Birzebbuga St. Peter’s registered a third consecutive win as they defeated St. Andrews 4-1 while Gudja United pushed Hamrun Spartans into deeper relegation trouble as they beat them 1-0.

BOV Division 1: Another three precious points for Msida

bov-first-division-2013-2014Msida St. Joseph moved an important step towards securing their status as they defeated neighbours Gzira United 2-0 in a derby in the BOV First Division.

With four games to go, the Saints move six points ahead of Zejtun Corinthians and ten ahead of Hamrun Spartans.

In another match, St. George’s and Lija Athletic shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
