Change in kick-off times for BOV First Division matches

The Malta Football Association announced that the BOV First Division matches in programme on Saturday and Sunday will kick-off earlier than scheduled.

The matches at the Victor Tedesco Stadium will kick-off at 15:00 and 17:15.

BOV Premier League kicks-off on August 18 with Rabat Ajax vs Qormi

Newly-promoted Rabat Ajax take on Qormi in the match which kicks-off the BOV Premier League 2012-13 on Saturday 18th August at the National Stadium. Also on the same day, Sliema Wanderers face Floriana. The fixtures for all divisions from the BOV Premier League to the BOV Third Division, BOV Women’s League and Youth League were released on Saturday.

On Sunday 19, Hamrun Spartans meet Balzan and champions Valletta face Tarxien Rainbows at the National Stadium. Completing Day 1 are two matches on Monday 20 at the Hibernians Stadium – Hibernians vs Mosta and Birkirkara vs Melita.

BOV League draws: Champions Valletta face Tarxien in first game

Champions Valletta will be facing Tarxien Rainbows in their first game from the BOV Premier League 2012/13. The draws for the BOV Premier League, BOV First Division, BOV Second Division, BOV Third Division, BOV Women’s First Division and BOV Women’s Second Division were held on Saturday at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

Runners-up and U*BET FA Trophy winners Hibernians will face Mosta while newly-promoted sides Melita and Rabat Ajax will be facing Birkirkara and Qormi in their first league match. The other games for day 1 are: Hamrun Spartans vs Balzan and Sliema Wanderers vs Floriana.

The draws for the BOV Premier League, BOV First Division, BOV Second Division, BOV Third Division, BOV Women’s First Division and BOV Women’s Second Division were held on Saturday at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

The following is the match sequence for the twelve Premier League clubs, the twelve First Divsion clubs, the fourteen Second Division clubs, the fifteen Third Division clubs and the sixteen clubs in the Women’s League.

Ta’ Xbiex SC admitted to Division 3 — Fourteen teams in Division 1 as from 2013/14

The town of Ta’ Xbiex will be represented once again in the National League as a new club – Ta’ Xbiex Sports Club – were approved by the Council of the Malta Football Association as members and will be taking part in the BOV Third Division League 2012/13. The Council discussed the four applications from clubs to take part in the BOV Third Division next season.

There were four applications by Marsa FC, Kalkara FC, Ta’ Xbiex SC and Ghajnsielem FC.

Marsa and Kalkara, who finished in the bottom two places in the BOV Third Division and therefore had to re-apply, were both accepted.
