Malta Futsal School offering free trials

For the second year running, the Malta Futsal School is currently underway with sessions being held once weekly at De La Salle College.

MFS is open for boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 years of age and is based on specialized Futsal training which in turn helps players build the basic skills and fundamentals of a football player. The school offers a free trial for those interested before becoming school members and is currently open for new memberships.

Mark Borg has officially tendered his resignation from the post of Secretary with Excess RP Bidnija as he takes the new role of Vice President of the Futsal Malta Association.

The Futsal Malta Association was approved as a provisional member of the Malta Football Association.

Third defeat for futsal national team in Georgia

Malta ended its commitments in Group A of the FIFA Futsal World Cup first qualifying round with a 0-4 defeat to Armenia at the Sportis Sasakhle in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday.

Two goals on the 9th minute by Armen Gyulambaryan and Grigor Kapukranyan paved the way for the Armenian victory with the later adding another goal on the 19th. Gyulambaryan scored again on 21 minutes to seal the issue.

The Malta Futsal national team suffered another 0-10 defeat as they met hosts Georgia in the second match from the Group A of the FIFA Futsal World Cup first qualifying round at the Sportis Sasakhle in Tbilisi on Friday.

Two goals in less than fifteen seconds on the 9th minute by Archil Sebiskveradze paced the way for Georgia. Girogi Nishnianidze made it 3-0 on 14 minutes and a minute later, George Totlaze scored the fourth goal. Two minutes from half-time, David Bobokhidze made it 5-0.
