		<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.maltafootball.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/maltafa.jpg" alt="" title="MFA" width="150" height="150" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1218" />The MFA Youth Academy has been invited to take part in an international tournament for youths which is being played in Italy between 31st May and the 3rd of June 2012. The ‘Torneo Citta di Cairo Montenotte (22nd Edition)’ is being staged in collaboration with CONI, the FIGC and the Comune of Cairo Montenotte. The event has attracted 32 teams of youngsters between the ages of 13 and 14 years. A squad of 21 players born 1998 from the M.F.A. Academy will travel to Italy to participate in this tournament.]]></description>

UEFA encourages initiatives by its member associations to further promulgate the game at its base level. A significant event in this respect is UEFA Grassroots Day during which different European federations hold activities to mark the occasion.
 
The Malta Football Association obliged when a special ceremony was held to provide further evidence that our association is toeing UEFA’s line of sowing the seeds in this fundamental area of youth football.]]></description>

The club said that the statement released on Tuesday reflected what they were told by Mark Miller in a meeting with the President and the General Manager, that is that after weeks of negotiations he had with the President of Valletta FC, he decided to accept the new challenge being offered by the Citizens. ]]></description>

The worst hit was however Angus Buhagiar of Birkirkara who was banned for three matches. The players to be suspended for one match are Bjorn Bondin (Balzan), Bjorn Kristensen, Clayton Failla and Edison Luis dos Santos (Hibernians), Jonathan Xerri (Marsaxlokk) and Saidou Mady Panandetiguiri (Valletta).]]></description>

Playing in front of one of the biggest attendances ever for a Youth FA league match, the Hamrun Under 17s managed to beat St Patrick in their last match to lift the Section A title. ]]></description>
