  Denni Rocha Dos Santos is BOV Player of the Month for January

Tarxien Rainbows player Denni Rocha Dos Santos emerged as the top player for January in the BOV Player of the Month poll held by the local media. The consistent performances shown by the Tarxien Rainbows midfielder have led him to scoop the award for the second time during the current football season, after having also won it in October 2009.

There is little doubt of this player’s qualities and his usefulness for the team. January saw Rocha Dos Santos produce another highly productive run, with three goals scored against Floriana, Sliema, and Qormi, as Tarxien Rainbows collected very important points against the Greens and Qormi. As well as being quite prolific as a goal-getter with eight goals so far this season, the Brazilian’s qualities as a schemer are also helping his colleagues to find the opposing teams’ net, thereby assisting the Rainbows in making a strong case for qualifying for the top championship pool in the BOV Premier League.

Charles Grech Soler, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Paola Branch congratulated the player and presented him with the BOV Player of the Month trophy for January to Denni Rocha. The player chose The Ursuline Sister of Tarxien to benefit from the monetary donation related to this award.
