Michael Mifsud linked to Notts County

Ambitious League Two side Notts County are set to sign Malta international striker Michael Mifsud according to a report on skysports.com.
The Maltese international is a free-agent after his contract with Coventry City expired at the end of last season.
Skysports.com reports that the 28-year-old had been approached by Sheffield United, Leeds United and Charlton Athletic together with Turkish club Ankaragucu and Greek side Larissa this summer.
“It is understood Mifsud is locked in talks with The Magpies and could soon be unveiled as their latest high profile capture, following on from the likes of Sol Campbell and Kasper Schmeichel,” claims the report.
In July, Munto Finance – a company linked with the Al Thani group, the Dubai-based investment group headed by the Qatari tycoon Abdullah bin Saeed Al Thani, took over the club. Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson was then announced as the new Director of Football.
