The Under-21, Under-19, Under-17, women’s and futsal national teams will all be in action in the coming days in a most busy month for the national team sector.
The Malta Under-21 side, under the guidance of coach Edwin Camilleri and his assistant Emmanuel Farrugia, will be facing France on Friday in another match from the qualifying round of the UEFA Under-21 Championships at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:50. 
So far the team played three matches, suffering narrow defeats to Slovenia at the Hibs Ground, Ukraine away from home and Belgium at Ta’ Qali. France, on the other hand, defeated Slovenia 3-1 away from home but then was held in a 2-2 draw by Ukraine.
Edwin Camilleri admitted this will be another difficult game for his side but said that so far, he was quite satisfied with the performance of his players, saying that they have showed progress since he took over the team earlier this year.
The Under-21 coach will be unable to field his best formation due to the absence of three injured players and suspended duo Mark Scerri and Clifford Gatt Baldacchino.
Tickets will be available on match day from the West Stand ticket-booths. Tickets cost €4.
The match will be controlled by referee Huw Jones, assisted by assistant referees Philip Bates and John Swindley and fourth official Ceri Richards, all from the FA of Wales.
Meanwhile as part of the preparation for the UEFA Under-19 Championship mini-tournament, the Under-19 side, under the guidance of Silvio Vella, assisted by Raymond Schembri, will be playing two friendly matches against Switzerland Under-19 on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 at the Centenary Stadium.
The Malta national Futsal team will also play two friendly matches against Romania Under-21 at the Corradino Pavilion on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21. This games will mark the debut of new national coach Vic Hermans.
The Malta Under-17 side will travel to Andorra to take part in the UEFA Under-17 mini-tournament. The team coached by Charles Scerri, assisted by Ramon Zammit, will be facing Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Andorra on Thursday 22, Saturday 24 and Tuesday 27 respectively.
The Malta women’s national team, under the guidance of Pierre Brincat, assisted by Mark Falzon, will travel to England for the second match from the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier. The game will be played on Sunday 25 at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
Last month, England reached the final of the UEFA Women’s European Championship, losing to Germany.
