Futsal national team suffers a second defeat to Romania U-21

The Malta national futsal team lost 4-2 to Romania Under-21 in a second friendly match at the Hibs Pavilion in Corradino on Wednesday.
Malta took the lead thanks to a goal by Tyron Borg four minutes from the end of the first half.
On the restart, captain Xavier Saliba doubled the score. The visitors pulled one back to Szabolcs and then levelled matters thanks to Brasoveanu.
The same player made it 3-2 and Szabolcs sealed the issue with a fourth goal.
Meanwhile playing their first international match under the helm of new Dutch coach Victor Hermans, Malta lost 1-2 to the same Romanian side on Tuesday. The Maltese opened the score through a brilliant goal by skipper John Cutajar in the seventh minute.
The Romanians drew level in the 16th minute thanks to well-taken Costantin Danut goal and went ahead one minute before the interval as a result of a rare defensive mistake by the locals which the opportunist Szabo Szolt converted.
