San Gwann F.C. goalkeeper Jean Matthias Vella, born 1992, has been invited over for a ten-day trial in the UK by Conference Premier League club Stevenage Borough. 
Vella, a Saints’ product and a member of the Under-19 national squad, has been training in England for the past ten days, whereby he attended training sessions with the first team and played various friendly matches with the north London club. 
In a particular match, he has been noticed by various scouts from clubs in higher divisions, whereby they requested meetings with the player’s agent and San Gwann officials. 
Jean Matthias Vella will return back to Malta by the end of the week, when he will join the rest of his team mates for the BOV First Division League match scheduled for next Monday evening.
