Matthew Bartolo, Stefan Giglio join Qormi

After signing Stefan Giglio from Valletta, Qormi continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Sliema Wanderers midfielder Matthew Bartolo.

Both players join the club on loan till the end of the season.

Bartolo made his Premier League debut for Hibernians in season 2004/05. Mid-way through season 2005/06, he joined Mosta on loan. The following season, he played regularly for the Paolites but at the end of the season, in summer 2007, he moved to Sliema.

A product of Valletta, Giglio made his Premier League debut in season 1994/95. Mid-way through season 2000/01, he left Malta to join CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria. Later he also played for Lokomotiv Sofia. In summer 2003, he returned to Malta where he joined Sliema Wanderers. Following four years with the Blues, he made his return to Valletta.

Meanwhile despite interest from South Korea, Brazilian striker Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo, who is the leading scorer in the BOV Premier League with sixteen goals, is expected to stay with Qormi at least for the time being.
