Four Premier League players banned

Four Premier League players were banned for one match while Marsaxlokk president Robert Micallef was handed a hefty ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the U*BET FA Trophy second round matches.

Floriana players Victor Zlydarev, Julian Briffa and Orosco Anonam who were sent off during the game against Tarxien Rainbows are now ruled out of the BOV Premier League clash against Hamrun Spartans on Sunday March 7 since the Greens were eliminated from the competition.

Steve Sadowski of Tarxien, who was also sent off in the same game, will be missing the FA Trophy quarter-finals.

Marsaxlokk president Robert Micallef was suspended for ten matches after being reported by the referee. He will therefore be unable to follow the team from the bench.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Edric Borg (Mqabba), Miguel Francica and Alan Borg (San Gwann) and Jonathan Xerri (Vittoriosa) were banned for one match while Anthony Portelli (Gozo) and Daniel Scerri (Lija) were suspended for one match in Division 2.

In Division 3, Rodney John Galea (Fgura), Peter Paul Cassar (Ghaxaq), Clayton Bonello (Swieqi), Trevor Thomas (Gudja) and Antoine Muscat (Xghajra) were all banned for one match while Kalkara coach James Camilleri was suspended for two matches.

In the Youth League, Juan Galdes (Gudja) and Zebbug kit manager Mark Attard were suspended for four matches while Kyle Calleja (Hamrun), Darren Vella (Lija), Luca Martinelli (Sliema), Loran Zarb (Vittoriosa), Elton Calleja (Zebbug) and Steve Agius (Qormi) were banned for one match.
