Under-23 side to face Belgium on Wednesday

The Malta Under-23 side will be facing Belgium in another match from the International Challenge Trophy on Wednesday, away from home.

This will be the second game for the team led by Carmel Busuttil. In its first outing last December, the locals lost 1-3 to Italy at Ta’ Qali.

The players selected by Busuttil and his assistant John Buttigieg are:

midfielders Edmond Agius (Valletta), Matthew Bartolo (Qormi), Gianluca Calabretta (Tarxien Rainbows), Ryan Deguara (Qormi), Clayton Failla (Sliema Wanderers), Dyson Falzon (Valletta), Ryan Fenech (Sliema Wanderers), Kurt Magro (Tarxien Rainbows);
forwards Christian Caruana (Floriana), Quelin Refalo (Pietà Hotspurs), Ian Zammit (Hamrun Spartans).

The third and final match from the group will be against Romania at home on April 21.
