Third defeat for Under-17 side in England

The Malta Under-17 side suffered another 0-5 defeat in the third and final match from Group 7 of the UEFA Under-17 Championship Elite Round at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton Albion, England. In fact, after losing 0-2 to Slovakia and 5-0 to England, Malta lost 0-5 to Sweden.

Jonathan Azulay put Sweden ahead on 24 minutes and Anton Sandberg Magnusson doubled the score on 31 minutes. The latter made it 3-0 eleven minutes in the second half before Erik Tönros scored twice on 68 and 76 minutes to seal the issue.
