Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after being sent off or collecting a fourth yellow card last week.

The players are Yan Cauchi (Hibs), Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo and Stefan Giglio (Qormi), Pedro Dos Santos Calcado (Sliema), Everton Antonio Pereira, Manuel Caruana and Steve Sadowski (Tarxien), Luke Dimech (Valletta), Lyden Micallef and Manuel Bartolo (Msida).

The Tarxien trio are ruled out of the game against Birkirkara on Friday while Cauchi and Pedrinho will be missing the game Hibs vs Sliema, also on Friday. Camilo, Giglio and Dimech are ruled out of the match Valletta vs Qormi on Thursday.

Sliema Wanderers official Mark Migneco was suspended for two matches.

In Division 1, Rennie Forace (Balzan), Julian Vella (Mosta), Steven Pisani and Miguel Francica (San Gwann) and Luke Sciberras (St. Patrick) were all banned for one match. St. Patrick coach Alfred Attard was suspended for two matches.

Ronnie Celeste and Charles Cachia (Birzebbuga), Silvan Privitelli (Zebbug) and Johan Briffa (Zurrieq) were all banned for one match in Division 2 while Albert Caruana and Johann Zammit (Ghaxaq), James Borg (Mgarr), Cedric Zahra (Mtarfa), Neville Ciantar and Matthew Genuis (Qrendi), Mark Camilleri (Siggiewi) and Denzil Scerri (Swieqi) were handed a one-match ban in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Derek Galea (Dingli) was banned for four matches while James Scerri (Attard), Ryan D’Amato (Birzebbuga), Terence Camilleri (Siggiewi) were banned for one match. Gianluca Agius (San Gwann) was banned for one match in the Youth Knock-Out. Siggiewi assistant coach Clifford Vassallo was banned until September 27.
