San Gwann Football Club have announced that after this week’ s annual general meeting, Jason Borg, a Saints’ ex-player and who recently also served within the committee in the role of vice-president, has now been appointed as the new club president.

Mr. Borg replaces the outgoing president, Leonard Vella, who remains in the club’s administration as one of the two vice-presidents. Björn Vassallo was re-appointed as club secretary, whilst Mark Mallia will take over the role as Treasurer.

San Gwann FC, who last season were led by former internatioanl player Joe Brincat who introduced a couple of promising youngsters to first team football, next season will be looking to make a quick return to First Division football.
