The seven preliminary round groups will played from 14 to 22 August. Twenty-seven teams will be split into six groups of four and one containing three. Besides the local champions the other teams to host the mini-tournaments are FK Nautara Kaunas (Lithuania), Gy?ri ETO FC (Hungary), AGBU Ararat Nicosia (Cyprus), Stella Rossa Vienna (Austria), KMF Zelezara Skopje (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) and Keflavík (Iceland).
