Gozo FA congratulates new MFA President

The Gozo Football Association would like to express its best wishes to the newly elected President of the Malta Football Association Mr. Norman Darmanin Demajo for the new post at the helm of local football.

GFA’s sentiments were officially expressed during the first meeting of the Association’s Council for the new season, which also included the draw of the competitions which will start during the first week of September. However, Mr. Darmanin Demajo promised that he will meet the GFA in the coming days.

The GFA wishes President Darmanin Demajo success in his responsibility for the benefit of the game of football, which is the most popular sport in the Maltese Islands.

The GFA also expresses its best wishes to all the new officials of the MFA, Vice-President Alex Manfre’, Treasurer Antoine Portelli and CEO Bjorn Vassallo. The Gozitan Association also congratulates Carmelo Bartolo and Perit Ludovico Micallef who were both confirmed for another term as Vice-Presidents of the MFA.

At the same time the GFA expressed its gratitude to the outgoing Dr. Joe Mifsud for his long valuable service to the game of football, both at local level and also at international level. Appreciation was also expressed towards Dr. Peter Fenech who ended his term as Vice-President.

The Gozo Football Association strongly believes that the relations between the GFA and the MFA will be consolidated under the presidency of Mr. Norman Darmanin Demajo for the benefit of all the Gozitan football clubs.
