Hibernians win Carlsberg Tournament

Twenty-seven year old Scottish striker Paul McManus was once again the hero for Hibernians as he scored twice in a 2-0 win over champions Birkirkara to claim the Hibernians Carlsberg Tournament.

Before this game, the two teams were leading the table with nine points but the Paolites had a better goal-difference.

After the game, Hibernians captain Aaron Xuereb was presented with the cup.

In another match, Qormi and Marsaxlokk shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
