Malta failed to collect any points in the previous seven group matches and will only aim at giving the French a hard-time. France, who had defeated Malta 2-0 at Ta’ Qali in October 2009, are currently third in the group on 12 points, three behind joint-leaders Ukraine and Belgium. Belgium have already ended their commitments while Ukraine take on Slovenia in their final match, also on Tuesday.
In a friendly match last month, Malta shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Wales at Ta’ Qali.
