After an impressive 4-1 win over Sliema in their first outing, the Stripes disappointed last week as they lost 0-2 to Floriana. With the return of Patrick Borg, Paul Fenech and Shaun Bajada after serving a two-match ban following the incidents which took place at the end of the Super Cup final against Valletta, Birkirkara should be in a better shape to face the Paolites.
Hibernians defeated Floriana 3-1 in their first game and then shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Valletta. With a win over Birkirkara, Hibernians would take sole leadership one point ahead of Hamrun Spartans, who however would have a game in hand.
