San Gwann and Gzira United registered their first win in the BOV Second Division as they defeated Mgarr United and Naxxar Lions respectively.

In the first game, San Gwann defeated Mgarr United 4-1. Shaun Vella scored twice for the Saints with Neil Curmi and Joseph Achokwu scoring the other two goals. Chris Abela scored a consolation goal for Mgarr.

On the other hand, Gzira United defeated Naxxar by the odd goal in five – goals by Andrew Scerri, Thane Micallef and Yanis Tonna for the Maroons, Gilbert Camilleri and Andre Rocha Da Silva for the Lions.

On Sunday, Senglea Athletic take on Mellieha while Zejtun Corinthians face leaders Rabat Ajax.
