Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the BOV Premier League.

The six players are Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara), Richard Hart (Hibernians), Jonathan Bondin (Qormi), Clifford Gatt Baldacchino and Julian Briffa (Sliema) and Orosco Anonam (Tarxien). Sliema Wanderers president Steve Abela was banned for two matches.

Joseph Zerafa is ruled out of Birkirkara’s next game against Floriana on Monday. Orosco Anonam will miss the game against Hamrun on Friday. Bondin will be unavailable for Qormi’s match against Vittoriosa on Saturday while Gatt Baldacchino and Briffa are ruled out of the match against Marsaxlokk on Sunday. Hibs midfielder Richie Hart will be missing the game against Valletta on Monday.

In Division 1, Kurt Coleiro (St. Andrews) was suspended for one match while Mark Pullicino (Birzebbuga) was banned for one match in Division 2.

In the Youth League, Andreas Galea (Birkirkara) was suspended for one match.
