Malta lost 0-1 to Württembergischer FV in a match from Group 1 of the UEFA Regions Cup Intermediate Round which was played on Tuesday at the Centenary Stadium.

Benjamino Molinari scored the all-important goal for the German side five minutes from the end of the first half.

On Thursday, the Malta amateur side, led by coach Edwin Camilleri, takes on Greek side Fthiotida. Fthiotida lost 1-3 to Federación Gallega of Spain in another match on Tuesday.
