Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban following the last round of matches before the break for the festive season.

The players are Michael Mecerod (Floriana), Massimo Grima (Hamrun), Ruben Guerreiro Gravata and Carlo Mamo (Marsaxlokk) and Sekou Tidiane Souare (Sliema).

Mecerod and Grima are ruled out of the game Floriana vs Hamrun on Friday 7th January, Ruben Gravata and Mamo will miss the match against Hibernians on Saturday 8 while Souare is ruled out of Sliema vs Vittoriosa on Sunday 9.

In Division 1, Jonathan Bugeja (St. Andrews) was banned for one match while Gabriel Mansueto (Birzebbuga), Simon Aquilina and Gareth Magri (Senglea) were suspended for one game.

Keith Gauci (Rabat) and Marlon Farrugia (Sta. Lucia) were banned for one match in the Youth League.
