Rabat Ajax failed to close in on leaders Zejtun Corinthians in the BOV Second Division as they suffered a 0-1 defeat to Senglea Athletic on Monday. Ricardo Goncalves Severino scored the all-important goal on 57 minutes as he converted a penalty.

Zejtun lead the way with 26 points, followed by Mellieha on 25, Rabat and Naxxar on 22, Birzebbuga on 21 and St. Patrick 19.
