UEFA Futsal EURO 2012: Third defeat for Malta

Malta lost 1-5 to Lithuania in the third and final match from Group D of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2012 Preliminary Round at the Cottonera Sports Complex on Monday.

Tomas Nemanis was the hero for the Baltic republic as he scored the five goals on 15, 16, 17, 24 and 30 minutes. Dean Gera scored a consolation goal for Malta on 32 minutes.

Meanwhile France emerged as winners of Group D after defeating Bulgaria 2-1 in another match.
Viktorov put Bulgaria ahead on the 9th but goals by Le Boette on 13 and Hamdoud on 39 minutes handed France the victory.
