Mellieha moved three points clear of Naxxar Lions in second place following the two matches from the BOV Second Division on Saturday.

The Blues beat Gzira United 2-1 while Naxxar lost 1-2 to Mgarr United. A win which enables Mgarr to move to just two points behind Zurrieq.

On Sunday, Senglea Athletic take on Zurrieq and Zejtun Corinthians face San Gwann.
