Open day at Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex

The MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex has been ten years in the making, but thanks to an amalgamation of investments by the government, and MIDI as a private investor, the complex has recently been officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

The MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex accommodates a full-size football pitch, a fully equipped gym, conference room, dressing rooms, nursery quarters and indoor multi-purpose pitches that can house a number of sport disciplines. The complex will also boast a pool therapy and wellness centre that will surely be a favourite haunt of fitness fans and sports men alike.

Once again the MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex is opening its doors to organise an event for its patrons. Everyone is invited to visit the complex on Wednesday 11th May from 9:00 Hrs till 12:00 Hrs. Aerobics and exercise classes organised for the elderly, a darts competition, tombola, and an exhibition match of bocci are only some of the activities you will be able to enjoy on the day.

Steve Abela, Sliema Wanderers President, commented “As the days go by we are upgrading the complex to make it a welcoming place for everyone to visit and enjoy. Its location in the heart of Sliema next to The Point shopping mall with its ample parking makes it an ideal place for everyone irrelevant of age. We believe that sports and exercise should be an integral part of everyone’s daily life and that our splendid MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex is essentially the place to be”.
