Finalists for Replay Gala Night announced

The list of finalists for next Tuesday’s The Gram Collections Replay Gala Night was announced on Tuesday during a press conference in Pietà. Four finalists in each category have been named.

Voting took place in the latter part of May. A panel of 12 football correspondents selected their top five players, coaches or referees in nine categories. Their votes were carried forward to the final adjudicating phase, where a panel of eight other leading football pundits chose the nine winners.

As for the prestigious Top Star and Young Star Player Awards, there was a huge response from players of all the Premier League teams. They were asked to name their top five players in both categories. All ten Premier League coaches also voted for their colleagues in the Top Star Coach Award.

In other accolades, all the 10 First Division coaches and three journalists covering this league were asked to cast their votes for The Best First Division Player this season. Also, the captains of the teams in the First Division Women’s League voted for their top player while a team of web-design experts have selected the Best Club Website. A new award is The Best Under-17 Player this season. MFA Technical Centre coaches, two journalists covering this sector and all Youth Nursery coaches at the helm of U-17 team voted.

The Premier League Best XI will be divulged on the night. The ten Premier League coaches have voted for the best player in each position. A special award involving the sporting public is still ongoing. Fans and viewers of Replay are being urged to have their final say on who they think was the BOV Premier League top player this season. Voting through text messages on 506 170 91 will close on Tuesday at noon. The winner will be announced later that night during the award ceremony.

Media.Link Communications will host the event. NET TV will broadcast live at 8.30pm.
