Third Division side Swieqi United have appointed Mr Rolland Sollars as Head Coach. He replaces Roberto Debrincat who joined Ghaxaq.

This will be the third season for the club since its foundation and Swieqi aim to improve on its previous successes.

Sollars started his coaching career with Melita as assistant coach of the first team and then coached the Under-18 and Reserves’ side. He then led Sirens and in season 2003/04, he was assistant coach at Premier League side Marsaxlokk. After coaching for one year the Hibernians women’s team, he coached two Third Division sides – Pembroke Athleta and Sirens.
