Jeffrey 'Vinc' Farrugia appointed Mosta technical director

Mosta have announced the appointment of Jeffrey Farrugia as Technical Director. Club President George Galea managed to persuade Farrugia, amiably known as ‘Il-Vinc’, to join The Blues. Farrugia has been involved in the game for many years, first as a player and in recent years in administration.

Farrugia started his playing career with Valletta, his home-town club, but made his name with Zurrieq FC helping them to their first and only FA Trophy. He then moved to Floriana where he was part of their last Premier League winning side, and then Hibernians, again winning the league. After a spell with Birkirkara, he ended his playing career with Balzan helping them to promotion to the Premier League.

Jeffrey Farrugia then moved into administration, joining Sliema Wanderers and working very closely with President Robert Arrigo to oversee one of their most successful periods in their history . . . three Premier League titles and two FA Trophy wins.

After a few years inactive he returned last season as Team Manager of Floriana and his midas touch saw The Greens win their first FA Trophy for seventeen years. Now he joins The Blues in their quest to try and preserve their newly acquired Premier League status for the first time in their history.

The club had earlier secured the services of Pieter Bregman and Clyde Vella as part of their technical staff.

Meanwhile Mosta are very close to sealing a one-year loan deal for Marsaxlokk goalkeeper Glen Zammit.
