Andrei Agius was in fact unavailable as his contract with the club expired at the end of the month while Andrew Decesare started the game on the bench.
Armando Vajushi put Vllaznia ahead after just four minutes but Brazilian striker David Silva levelled matters for Birkirkara on the 17th.
