Successful training camp for goalkeepers in Siena

Twelve goalkeepers from the Mario Muscat Goalkeeper School attended with success a goalkeeper training camp at Scuola Numero Uno betwee the 9th and 16th of July. The local goalkeepers joined 22 Italian and one Portuguese goalkeepers for the 18th summer camp organised by Prof. Giuseppe De Fidio.

All goalkeepers also had the opportunity to train under Siena primavera head coach Massimo Cataldi, who was impressed with the potential of the Maltese goalkeepers.

The group was also invited at Coverciano which is the technical centre of Italy national teams. They also visited the football museum where all world cups trophies are kept.

Another first was Mary Anne Mumform who is the first female goalkeeper to attend this camp. Birkirkara goalkeeper Dylan Galea was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the camp.

This camp was made possible thanks to various sponsors mainly Solo Optical, Chevrolet and General Soft Drinks.
