Birkirkara sign Spanish striker

Birkirkara secured the services of Spanish striker Moisés Ávila Pérez who signed a one year contract with the club.

Moisés started his career with the youth teams of C.D. Tenerife before moving to Atlético Victoria two years ago.

In his first season with Victoria, he scored 20 goals in 28 matches finishing second in the top scorers’ list. Last year, he finished as top scorer with 25 goals in 38 matches, helpin his team win the championship and promotion to the Tercera División.

The Spanish striker has already turned out for the Stripes in the Gammari Muscat Mosta Tournament, notching two hat-tricks in the games against Tarxien and Vittoriosa.

Moisés is represented by Spanish agent Antonio Carlo who also brought to Malta goalkeeper Jorge Febles Mora.

Last week, the Stripes signed Brazilian central defender Rodrigo Frank Pereira who also signed a one year contract.

Rodrigo played mainly in Austria with SV Bad Aussee, FC Waidhofen and First Vienna in the top division. He then moved to SC Zofingen in Switzerland.
