The Floriana FC Committee met on Wednesday to discuss the behaviour of goalkeeper William Amamoo in the hours preceding the Super Cup final.

In the moments leading to the game, the player told coach Michael Woods that he did not want to take part in the match. After careful evaluation of the facts, the player was deemed to be in breach of the contract that he signed with Floriana FC.

Therefore the committee is suspending William Amamoo for the maximum period as permitted by Malta Football Association rules.

The Malta Football Association has been informed about said decision.
