10th Gatorade Annual Seminar to be held on Saturday

During a press conference held at the Youth FA premises in Ta’ Qali, the Association’s General Secretary, Mr. Joe Micallef revealed that there is great interest from the member nurseries for the forthcoming Youth FA Seminar to be held this Saturday 10th September. The main attraction for this Seminar is Mr. Andy Roxburgh, UEFA’s Technical director since 1994, but there will also be other interesting speakers, making this a very informative seminar.

Mr. Micallef explained that as in the last years, this annual seminar will be divided in two parts, the technical part to be hosted at the Luxol Grounds and the administrative part to be held at Le Meriden Hotel, St. Julian’s.

As explained beforehand, the technical sessions will be overseen by Mr. Andy Roxburgh, who will go into detail about how Barcelona Benefit from Player Development as well as going into detail about various Scoring Options, following a brief introduction by the Youth FA President, Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro. Mr. Micallef explained that the Youth FA is very grateful to have someone of the calibre of Mr. Roxburgh to instruct our grassroots coaches and that this was only possible thanks to the great friendly relationship, between the UEFA’s Technical Director and Fr. Hilary, a friendship natured over many years.

The Administrative part will be opened by the Malta FA’s CEO, Mr. Bjorn Vassallo, followed by other lectures, namely :- Managing Stress in our Nurseries by Ms. Beverly Cutajar, Biomechanical screening-investing in the future by Mr. Ray Bezzina. (Physiotherapist), The Regions & MFA Technical Centre by Mr. Robert Gatt (M.F.A. Technical Director), Respect by Mr. Adrian Casha (M.F.A. Head of Referring Department) and the concluding remarks by Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro (YFA President).

The Youth FA Vice President, Mr. Robert Attard concluded the press conference by thanking all those who have made this event possible and encouraged those who have not yet booked, to do so at the earliest, in order to avoid being left disappointed as space is limited and will be treated on a first come first served basis.
