Newly-promoted Rabat Ajax collected their first three points in the BOV First Division as they beat St. George’s 2-0 in one of the two matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

Justin Felice scored the two goals for the Magpies, one in each half.

In the second match, another team who won promotion from Division 2, Naxxar Lions, suffered a 0-4 defeat to Pietà Hotspurs.

Zach Muscat put the Hotspurs ahead on 35 minutes. Four minutes in the second half, Quilin Refalo doubled the score and six minutes later, Cleaven Cassar scored the third goal. An own goal four minutes from time sealed the issue for Pietà.
